Trot Your Globe (TYG) provides a wellness, education, and Physical Education (PE) platform connecting users, schools, and certified professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data across our Android app, iOS app, and Web platform. By using TYG App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. User Data Transparency
We are committed to transparency in how we collect, use, store, and share user data. This includes personal data, health data, device data, and usage data. We only use user data for:

• Providing core app functionality and account management.
• Delivering wellness, education services, and school PE programmes.
• Enabling secure communication between users and wellness professionals.
• Improving app performance, security, and technical stability.

We do not sell personal or sensitive user data to any third parties.

3. Personal and Sensitive User Data
TYG App may access the following sensitive data types only when required for functionality:

• Camera & Microphone: Used exclusively for livestream sessions and video coaching.
• Health Data: Steps, heart rate, sleep, and activity via Google Health Connect (Android) or Apple HealthKit (iOS).
• Device Identifiers: Used for security and usage analytics.

This data is used strictly for wellness, coaching, and PE functionality. We do NOT use sensitive data for background tracking or unrelated advertising purposes.

4. Prominent Disclosure and Consent
Before accessing sensitive data, TYG App presents a clear in-app disclosure explaining what is collected and why.
Example: "This app collects camera, microphone, and health data to enable livestream classes and PE programmes. Data is only accessed during active sessions."
User consent is required through explicit action (tapping "Accept"). We do not collect sensitive data without user approval.

5. School Programs and Minors
TYG App supports school-based Physical Education and wellness initiatives.

• Schools or teachers may manage student participation.
• Guardians may provide consent for minors in accordance with POPIA and COPPA regulations.
• Access is controlled through institutional or guardian approval. We do not knowingly collect data from minors without appropriate authorization.

6. Third-Party SDKs and Services
The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. These providers are required to comply with Google Play and Apple App Store User Data policies:

• Google Play Services
• Apple App Store Services
• Firebase (Google): Authentication and analytics.
• Cloudflare: API delivery, security, and performance optimization.

7. Data Sharing
Data may be shared only in the following cases:

• With service providers (Firebase, Cloudflare) for operational stability.
• With other participants during live sessions (video/audio visibility).
• With schools or program administrators (where applicable to student PE logs).
• To comply with legal obligations or lawful requests.

8. Data Security
All data is transmitted using secure encryption (HTTPS) and stored using industry-standard security practices to protect against unauthorized access or breaches.

9. Data Retention
We retain user data only as long as necessary for service functionality, account maintenance, or legal compliance.

10. User Rights
Users or guardians may request:

• Access to their personal data.
• Correction of incorrect or outdated information.
• Permanent deletion of data and account records.

11. Consent Withdrawal
Users may revoke permissions (camera, microphone, health data) at any time through their device settings. Please note that revoking these permissions will disable related features within the app.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be published in-app and on this page.

Terms of Conduct & General Rules

1. Mutual Respect: Fair and respectful treatment of all members and staff is mandatory. Failure to do so will result in immediate removal from the platform.
2. No Recording: Participants may not record other members during virtual sessions. You may take screenshots of yourself only. TYG reserves the right to record public events for promotional purposes.
3. Video Policy: To ensure a safe environment and mitigate the risk of unauthorized screen recordings or stalking, video must be activated at all times. Instructors and psychologists must be able to see participants to provide safe guidance and maintain transparency.
4. Participation: Participation is voluntary. However, by attending, you acknowledge that you have obtained medical clearance if you have underlying health conditions. TYG is not liable for injuries sustained during voluntary exercise.
5. Health Screening: All members must complete the digital health screening questionnaire in-app before their first session.
6. Hydration & Safety: Please ensure you remain hydrated and have a clear, safe space to move during physical sessions.
